Meet Our Owner:
Dennis Finch
Dennis Finch is the owner and founder of Capitol Construction. He was born in upstate New York (GO BILLS!) in 1977 and was raised on a small farm that helped create his hard work ethic and overall integrity. Dennis’s construction career began in the mid 90’s as the working partner in a family-owned remodeling business.
In 1999, Dennis moved halfway across the country to begin a new career as a commercial roofing journeyman in Denver, Colorado. In 2003 he passed the International Code Council testing and all Denver Building Department qualifications and became a licensed general contractor eligible to be licensed in any city or county in Colorado. Dennis still uses some of his original sub contractors he met almost 20 years ago and has developed strong working relationships with many new qualified subcontractors he uses today.
Origin Story: Capitol Construction
Dennis started his own business as a sole proprietor in 2003 with a focus on low to high end property management rental remodels. His specialty was full demolition and modern finishes in apartments and rental homes. As that business grew, so did his love for remodeling and restoring homes. Capitol Construction was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing top notch customer service to homeowners through professional renovations and restorations.
Over the years, our growing customer base consists of repeat customers and referrals. Our previous customers call us first when they have another remodel project in mind, and they are happy to refer their friends and neighbors to us. If you have filed an insurance claim for damages caused by water leaks, fire, or mold we will work with you to build back or upgrade your home.
In 2020 we hired more full-time staff, expanded our warehouse, and upgraded our project management system. As our business continues to grow, we continue to improve our efforts to provide the best possible experience for our customers. We look forward to working with you on current and future projects.
